Health Information Management Diploma Program Overview
Our 76-week program provides the in-demand skills and training needed to collect, code, cross-reference and manage patient health data using coding and classification systems. In doing so, you help create a more efficient flow of information between health care providers and staff to ensure better patient care. Our program includes a 12-week internship that provides real-world work experience as it builds the career-focused skills that employers want. Upon graduation, you may explore a range of career paths, including HIM records technician, medical records unit supervisor, HIM practitioner and HIM management supervisor. Potential workplace environments include hospitals, government agencies, insurance companies, social services organizations, consulting firms, physicians’ offices and more.
