Build the skills to support people with care, dignity and confidence. triOS College’s Personal Support Worker certificate program offers instructor-led hybrid and on-campus learning options, with half-day classes designed to help you pursue your education while managing everyday responsibilities.

You’ll learn how to support clients, residents, patients and families in community, home, hospital and long-term care settings. You’ll build practical knowledge in areas such as personal care, safety and mobility, nutrition, medications, abuse and neglect, cognitive and mental health issues, brain injuries, family support and end-of-life care.

You’ll practice in classrooms designed to simulate real healthcare settings, with hospital beds, wheelchairs and other required equipment. This hands-on training helps you become familiar with the tools, routines and responsibilities of PSW work before applying your skills during your 12-week clinical placement in both a facility and community setting.

Program recognition and additional training
You’ll also complete training in CPR/First Aid, Gentle Persuasive Approach and insulin administration, helping you prepare for practical responsibilities you may support as a PSW. Delivered in partnership with the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC), this program prepares students to write the NACC Final Exam and receive a registered and approved NACC certificate upon successful completion.
